A calming meditation, a slow-moving warm-up, and a series of simple standing poses kick off the restorative yoga class at Peace Yoga. Then practitioners sink into static restorative postures, typically supported by bolsters and blankets, which are designed to soothe the nervous system. You'll leave the class feeling lighter and calmer, ready to tackle whatever the day throws at you.
Of course, you could probably say the same of any class at Peace Yoga. Its Yoga 1, 2, and 3 classes impart knowledge to yogis of all different skill levels, but no matter where you're at in your practice, you'll feel refreshed after a class. If you're a total novice, start at Yoga 1. The instructor will show you the basic postures and breathing techniques you need to know to continue on your yoga journey. Then, at Yoga 2 and 3 classes, you'll build on this solid foundation to master more advanced moves.
